With the rematch of the legendary 2008 Super Bowl going down this week, GO Burger is getting a head start on the Giants-Patriots rivalry! The restaurant has created a burger inspired by each team so diners can prepare for the Super Bowl Burger Challenge!
From now until Super Bowl Sunday on February 5th, New York fans can sink their teeth into the Big Blue Burger ($14), a six ounce prime beef patty topped with Maytag blue cheese, bone marrow shallot jam and sea salt and black pepper potato chips, while New England loyalists can enjoy The Brady Bunch Burgah ($14) with maple glazed double smoked bacon, Vermont cheddar, Boston lager mustard, Boston lettuce and Old Bay seasoned tobacco onions.
And on the day of the big game, diners who order their team’s themed burger during the first half will win a free beer or cocktail if their team is ahead at halftime. During the second half, diners who order the victorious team’s burger also win a free beer or cocktail -- and a whole lot more to gloat about! The restaurant will also offer a Super Bowl Sunday Sampler featuring fried dill pickles, Kobe beef sliders, and wings, $20 craft beer pitchers and a Super Bowl Box Pool for the chance to win a free meal for two.
And for their foodie football fans in a betting mood, GO Burger will feature a running tally of sales for the Big Blue Burger and The Brady Bunch Burgah until game day to predict the Super Bowl winner based on the most popular cheeseburger. It may not be the most scientific method, but it certainly is a tasty one!
