Any New Yorker knows immediately from the name exactly what to expect from a resort located in the Hamptons, so you may have to forgive me for excluding a plethora of adjectives and superlatives that could be applied to the eastern reaches of Long Island. In the Sole East Resort and Sole East Beach, you have two highly recommended places that provide the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the area.
Sole East Resort and Beach are located near and in Montauk village respectively, and welcome visitors with a wide variety of tastes in vacation pastimes. This locale is famous for its fishing spots and surfing and these are best experienced in the summer season. To really experience the life of an avid fisher or surfer, be sure to stop by Montauk Harbor, complete with Westlake Marina’s Chowder House, whose deck fishing boats pull up at.

Mountain biking and hiking are also an excellent choice of activity, the area is home to plenty of expertise and lovely scenery to boot. Coming back to aquatic opportunity, kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding are particular specialties. For those who prefer a less intense use of vacation time, the world-renowned Montauk Downs State Park offers a golfing exercise for beginners and intermediaries alike. Or if that still doesn’t appeal to you, try equestrianism at the Deep Hollow Ranch or at Rita’s Stables for a true taste of the high-life. Both have petting zoos suitable for children. Wine connoisseurs and wannabe connoisseurs will take delight from Long Island’s wineries.
Both Resort and Beach offer the full luxury of their rooms, all renovated, with high thread count Italian cotton linen. To maximize the pleasure of your stay, I recommend the Resort’s poolside and garden cabana suites for outdoor comforts. Technology cravers can rest assured that all rooms are equipped with HD, flat-screen televisions, I-pod docking stations, and complimentary Wi-Fi access. The resort boasts an outdoor, heated pool amidst 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens; the vastness of ground to cover is alleviated by hammocks dotted around, or you may prefer to explore on top of a beach cruiser. Pool parties are organized, with a DJ in charge of the music. Sole East Beach, of course, is focused around the Long Island coast and is a short walk away from white sands and clear water, but at the same time it is right in the heart of town, so you can taste the best of both worlds.

Experiencing all that the locations have to offer will no doubt leave you feeling hungry, and for that, look no further than Sole East’s very own Backyard restaurant, where you can sit poolside to the sounds of Bosa Novo. This restaurant takes special pride in its Sunday brunch and is well worth a visit.
Whether it is Beach or Resort, Sole East presents the Hamptons in its full glory. There is something for everyone here; it is simply the perfect getaway without having to get away too much.
