Google Occupies Manhattan Block

Search engine company Google opened a new 300,000-square-foot, three-story office in the former meatpacking district of lower Manhattan. The workplace fills an entire block along Ninth Avenue between 14th and 15th streets. The Silicon Valley-based company has 8,000 employees worldwide.—Mike McPhate
