Ed Bradley, the revered “60 Minutes” newsman, died of leukemia today at the age of 65, CBS News announced. Raised in a tough part of Philadelphia, Bradley became one of TV journalism’s most distinguished figures, winning four Peabody awards, 19 Emmy’s and a Lifetime Achievement award from the National Association of Black Journalists. "Ed Bradley was a consummate professional who defined investigative journalism for a generation," said Bryan Monroe, president of NABJ. "We will miss him greatly."—Mike McPhate
